If I were to go by individual songs, I would say in no particular order, here are my Top Ten.ĥ. Of course, we could talk of Percy Faith ("Theme From A Summer Place"), Acker Bilk ("Stranger On The Shore"), Andre Kostelanetz, Lawrence Welk ("Calcutta") and a number of other artists, too. Java", too.Some of those were among my first thrift store albums as a kid! :) The rarest one is called "Rains In The Tropics" by The Gene Rains Group.I also dig the library music of Alan Hawkshaw, Brian Bennett, Keith Mansfield and Steve Gray, like these. Lucky Goes Latin" and the "Peter Gunn" soundtrack are also favorites, as is Hugo Montenegro's "Hugo In Wonder-Land".I like Bert Kaempfert's "Wonderland By Night" and Al Hirt's "Honey In The Horn feat. That begs the question that may be hard to answer definitively, Antonio, but what would you say are your top 10 favorite easy listening albums of all-time? We could talk vocal easy listening (Ray Conniff, James Last, etc.), but I'll stick to just instrumental albums for now.What would you say are the all-time best compilations? :-kįor me, I would place Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass' "Whipped Cream And Other Delights" up there, as well as Mort Garson's "Plantasia", Esquivel's "Other Worlds Other Sounds", Martin Denny's "Quiet Village" and the "Somewhere In Time" soundtrack with John Barry as highlights.Henry Mancini's "Mr. Mostly Easy Listening, including orchestras, singers and groups from the 1950s up to the 1980s. I know I'm not the only one who is curious. Please list some of what you do listen to.
